One lap or one round is for example 30 second walk and a thirty second run. On gym boss this repeats 99 times. And of course if you're fast you'll do fewer laps or rounds!
I'm checking my gym boss here, right now! Pressed start for the first thirty seconds...it beeps at thirty seconds but the number of laps/rounds stays as it was at the start...the second thirty seconds starts and at its end the gym boss beeps and the lap/round reduces by one.

Dunno how yours is dropping down a lap after just one thirty second Muttley.

Of course the 30 second round is only an example, they can be any time up to an hour.
And I choose two beeps AND use the vibrio alert and like your observation Lip Gloss it's plenty loud enough!

Thirty/thirty as usual over 5k this morning with four "doubles" thrown in. But if an effort!
Hope your long run with the gym boss goes well Muttley.

Just been out for a brief jaunt with the Gymboss. It does count down by 1 rep for each beep. After about half an hour I think it was at 30-something. Maybe because it's an older model, or maybe I could programme it better. Doesn't really matter though because as you say, I can just press Start again when it finishes first time round.

Although I like the symmetry of 30:30 for longer runs I might try 60:30, and that will last a little longer anyway.

I did a 60:30 today for 45 minutes. My 5k doing this was quicker than the 5k I did on Monday.

Has anyone used this method for a 10k race with good effect? I’ve not done any races for a while now (last one was a half at the beginning of 2020 just before covid hit). I’d quite like to do one at the end of October.

I’ve never used it for a 10k Jenny but used a 4:1 for my 1st Marathon (Edinburgh) and was pleased with the result.

65/55s for a run walk today and just slightly further than last week (8.3 km), which makes it my furthest since January. And my HR was pleasingly low and fairly steady throughout at 55% awhr (131 BPM).

45/30 run/walk tonight. Enjoyed that ratio.

5.48mile 9.45min mile average pace.

Counted my run steps and I average 120 in 45sec and walk I average 60 in 30sec.

(There's also the cadence display on the training page, Pam runs. Today's r/w for me had peaks at 176 and 130.)

My cadence when running has dropped recently to account for my increased HR. Your run cadence is great Pam, and wow, super pace overall for that latest run.
Good session there Dvorak and a perfect HR, currently I begin to struggle at 130 although I did peak at 140 today and it felt awful! Four miles, still on 30/30 and although a struggle it was nice to be out early and doing what I do!
