I was hoping that physio would give me the green light to restart gentle r/w but no; another 3 months on the bench. This sciatica is a right bugger.

I wonder about weight! I've tried in vain to put on any weight of note all my life! I'm too light for comfort/ "good health" currently with nothing to fall back on. I was running far better at a stone heavier for many years. I'm on a mission to do a weight gain over the next three or four months. Struggled on my run/walk 5k today and ditched the gym boss to respond only to HR. Even more out of breath since COVID two weeks ago. Ugh! Whatever your weight EPixie it obviously serves you well. Enjoy it! |

Hope that injury gets sorted out XB. My "back injury" in 1990 eventually led to me being permanently partly disabled so following physio advice an absolute must. |

I've tried in vain to put on any weight of note all my life! I should have your problem ... Those £6 Gymbosses are available again so I decided to go for it. I just hope it comes with instrux because it does say that this is an older model. ebay.co.uk |

I recommend beer, steve45. Beer and chips. You could top that up with biscuits and ; and protein shakes, if you must. And cheese.

Just noticed this thread. Excuse me popping in but I did notice this comment.... I wonder about weight! I've tried in vain to put on any weight of note all my life! I'm too light for comfort/ "good health" currently with nothing to fall back on.... Mr Ness was the same, steve45 The only time he gained weight in the past was before the doc diagnosed his thyroid problem and he wasn't well then! Now he's in his 60s he takes more protein in his diet. He's gradually putting on weight but it's taken a while. |

Sound advice from Dvorak there. I would add only pasties or if you're unlucky enough not to have any to hand, pies. Including pork pies.

I love all those things Dvorak! I only have two pints a week and chips probably once every six weeks. Cake....daily! Cheese often! Meatless pies..often !! I've pursued what's called a healthy diet for most of adult life but I know that my calorie intake can sometimes be too low. Currently using Huel as a supplement and see if I can reach 140lbs! Protein could well be a missing element Ness because I only eat meat four or five times a year ( No, I'm not a vegetarian, vegan or whatever, just don't like it much) but try to get it from other sources. I'm sure you'll work out the gym boss Muttley, any probs just give me a shout. Just a walk.....no run at all today. Nice out there. |
