I won't/can't safely increase until I've seen a cardiologist. To think I'm almost struggling on 30/30 and my HR is as high during the runs as what it recently was for the duration of a two hour run! Frustrating. Bit worrying too. 45/30 sounds good Pam, you're certainly doing great on overall pace. I plodded 25/25 for four miles this morning, breathing ain't right, effort too great but humourously I enjoyed myself!! |

When might you see a cardiologist Steve? Hope you don’t have to wait too long. It’s still too hot for me, even early. It’s fine though, I’m not training for anything and I still have to walk up hills whenever I step outside the door so I’m not turning into an unfit thing. |

I went out at 7.15 this morning. Ran the first mile (slowly) then changed to 25:25 for the next 2 miles. I really struggle in the heat.

I had set my alarm to get up and out at 6.15 to get my Sheepy shuffle done but was just too tired so eventually got out for 5 miles. No structure to when I walked but just when I felt I needed to so got it done in 52mins so happy enough but will have to be a real early start to get any further.

My cheapie "gymboss" has arrived. The "Catch the Fire" branding is for some kind of evangelical outfit and the instrux thank me for buying a prayer timer I've set it to 30 second intervals but it only goes up to 99 reps. That means 50 minutes and I'll want it for longer than that. Anyone know a way round this? |

Mine is a catch the fire brand but I can’t remember being thanked for buying a prayer timer.

Muttley Just had a look at mine and if it’s the same one I don’t think you can except for after the 99th rep just stop and then restart again like a new workout. Unless of course someone else knows different |

Parkrun for me today. Lovely mist for whole route so not too bad temperature wise. 25.28min. Average 8.08min pace. No idea where that came from, it was well before lock down I saw 25min at the start of a 5k. I was well chuffed with myself. 😁😁 |
