LipGloss , yes 30 seconds each. It was really warm tonight so the 30 sec recovery walk really helped, and the 30 sec ‘fast’ was a 9/10 effort (like a finish line sprint).

I'm sticking with 30:30 for the time being and will work on extending range a little. Currently at 2.5 miles, which is important because my year-end target is 1,000 miles. That's 2.7 miles a day so at least I've just about stemmed the daily haemorrhage (sp?). But the hurty calf layoff means I am still 60 miles behind target.

Good efforts on all ratios here by everyone.

I cancelled intervals at any level a few months ago. They work for lots of people but never have done for me, even in my "fast days".
30/30 still with three doubles on downhills but some extended walks up severe hill when my HR gets far too high in relation to what I'm achieving.
I'm hoping for extended runs on Friday when I'm running with my wife who is doing recovery run.

That sounds like a good idea, lin50. I could probably cope with running fastish for a 30-second stretch. Though maybe not with having to repeat it a minute later, and then again another minute after that...

I'm just hoping my constant slow run walks will turn into a sub 6 marathon in October which is a lot faster than what I am running!

Garmin keeps on telling me my predicted 5K time is about 6-7 mins quicker than I run 5k! So obviously thinks I need to learn how to push myself rather than happily potter along!

I did a nice 5 miles run/walk before work this morning. Just wondering what my best plan is for my intervals tomorrow

Did intervals this morning - just did 5 reps as I haven't done any in years and I also wanted to see if I would manage all 10 ( time wise )this early in the morning before my work. It should work so hopefully next week I will do the 10 reps.

That’s ace LG, well done. I am off to do a float fit course today so I am expecting to spend most of my time falling in the pool.
