Homeless Kodo
Saw JPR play on a couple of occasions when I was a child & my dad took me to Moseley. The most memorable was the Sam Doble memorial match in 1977. I really sad about his death.

I first heard of JPR in a Max Boyce skit:
English fan in the stands got down on his knees and began to pray “Oh God, let us see a try, something absolutely terrific”. Then JPR scored again and God said “you should have been more specific!”

Cheeky’s Dad
Very sad day. A legend of my youth. Brilliant player and hard as nails. Two images always come to mind. Those sideburns and him covered in blood after being studded by the All Blacks in 1978. We won’t see his like again

One of the few that fans from all nations would agree was great, even when playing against him.
*That* try for the Baa Baas will always be in the "greatest ever" debates.

trumpton riots
My Welsh grandmother who lived in London needed surgery in the 1970's and was understandably nervous. She was in the waiting room anxiously talking to my Grandfather, and someone popped their head round the corner and said, "dew, it's nice to hear another Welsh voice". JPR took the time out of his day to sit with her and tell her that everything would be ok. And it was. Unbelieveably sad.
