B Rubble
Having been a player during the 1980s before professional rugby came along (well sort of, there was always “boot money”) I know what you mean Dai. I would have done anything to break into what was called first class rugby at the time. I even chose my university due to the rugby team. But I am so glad now that I wasn’t good enough. I had a few concussions and hospital visits but no serious surgery.

It must be really difficult for those players that are being asked to extend their careers playing in Japan, USA etc. Notwithstanding this new 12s thing.

I loved playing 10s, less knackering than 7s and just that bit more space - but would I watch it over 7s? Not sure...
All about the £££ again...

I loved 7s. Quite mobile for a fat lad. Managed to score a try at Arms Park once.

One of my best friends at uni got a clot from a tackle. After usual banter for a min or two, of "get up ya woos" etc, realised it was serious, unconscious. Game stopped, ambulance, coma. Hospital for 6 months, spent next 6 months learning to speak and walk again. Still has a limp and shakes hands with his left hand.

He was my inside centre, and if he hadn't got that guy, I would have. I haven't played rugby (except touch and park muck abouts) since. Take care people. :-) G

Been away. Really hoping it was on TV and covered by a series link!

Had to read it twice to believe it.

Looks like Borthwick has unlocked Tigers potential. Well done.

Looking forward to highlights, we seem to have had a decent comeback in the second half before moving out at the end.

Hang on that sounds familiar.

Exeter were missing a few key players but it is certainly an encouraging start

Cheeky’s Dad
I watched the Scotland v Spain Women’s World Cup qualifier this evening and very entertaining it was too (if only the Lions & Boks could have served up anything half as enjoyable) There was a slightly strange Gaelic/English hybrid commentary too but that just added to it.

Tigers seem supreme.

Took an ex Bath player at the helm to sort it though 😜
