"States' rights" is the given reason for the US Civil War according to confederate apologists. Gosh, what a mess they are in.

"I can say this, we will do large deportations from Springfield, Ohio – large deportations. We're going to get these people out. We're bringing them back to Venezuela," he said. The migrants in Springfield are mostly from Haiti, and have legal permission to be in the US under a federal programme for Haitians. It was not immediately clear why Trump mentioned Venezuela. |

Re Trump's comments and the issues with social cohesion that people like him cause with enough reach even if they don't achieve power. bbc.co.uk "Springfield officials say that the debunked claim of pet-eating has sent shockwaves through its community, and has led to violent threats that have shut schools." and "On Friday, three schools in Springfield were evacuated due to bomb threats. At least one of the threats made disparaging comments about Haitians, according to Springfield Mayor Bob Rue. It comes after city hall and several other buildings, as well as one school, were evacuated on Thursday due to threats." The comments took less than two minutes but people are affected by what is essentially deliberate incitement. |

Trump is getting confused between the made up stories. The Venezuela made up story is that criminal gangs are in charge of Aurora Colarado.

For the first time in months Trump's polling average has dipped down. It will be interesting to see where he is in 10 days after the post-debate polls have caught up a bit.

SPR wrote: BBC article that talks to a few people about the WFA: bbc.co.uk Another one about the issue of pensioners that can claim pension credit not claiming it. bbc.co.uk It's in my blog, but I was in cafe yesterday morning, a group of pensioners complaining about the WFA loss, when they left the owner used their names while saying see you tomorrow. Also, the pub over the road had plenty of people in it, at 10:30 who looked over pension age. Basically, all the screaming headlines are misleading. |
