Both parties have spent the last 8 years blatantly lying about Brexit, why should public finances be any different? It’s not like anyone is making even a token effort to hold them to account and many posters here are only too happy to make excuses for them.

But you're not bitter @jda

Labour are doing a grand job of over turning 14 years of incompetence.

I would have loved Labour to rip up everything the tories have done on day one, revoke anti-protest laws, get us closer to our European neighbours, reverse austerity, remove the 2 child CB cap, stop demonising 'others', stop gaslighting the public, introduce a fairer electoral system, properly fund public services...
Of course that was never going to happen, but I am still hopeful there will be progress on most of those things before the next GE

Happy that they're not forcing universities to facilitate hate crimes ( potentially) not happy they've dropped the warrant.

That was the strangest indicator of objection

A survey by the Conservative Post has been sent to 14,000 verified registered party members with dramatic results. From the first 3,091 respondents Ms Braverman has picked up more than 1,000 votes as the best leader well ahead of former business secretary Kemi Badenoch in second place with just over 400. The two centrist One Nation candidates on the left of the party - James Cleverly and Tom Tugendhat - are trailing in the last two places with less than 300.

Brilliant news. If the MPs don’t pick Cruella then the members will be up in arms. If they do pick Cruella then she will be leader and they will be in opposition for about a millennia.

Reminder that party members do not represent the voting public (and that goes for all parties).

Name-calling will be called out, and Ad hominem will be frowned upon. :-) And whatabout-ery sits somewhere above responding to tone and below contradiction.
