Because he did such a good job with his first term you’re going to have to believe him. He’s a stable genius don’t you know. And an absolute whizz at cognitive tests. No one has ever seen results like his. Never. Ever.

I have read that this is one of those instances where if you watch the whole thing, you find the quote is rather taken out of context (although I confess I haven't done so yet). Not that I think democracy is safe with him, not for one moment.

That's not the whole thing, Fozzy, that's my point, that's 27 seconds. What was he saying before and after that? I'll dig out a more complete version. As I say, the guy is an enemy of democracy and will end elections if he possibly can, but I have my doubts that that is actually what he is saying here.

OK, the point is around the 62min point. There's no context to add from what he said to add to that quote. He said he's going to "fix" it and that people won't need to vote again. |

OK, maybe I got the wrong end of the stick, then. But I've seen a lot of 'shocking' quotes posted by all sides which turned out to be less shocking when seen in context, and I'm wary of the process whereby a little snippet goes viral. Don't have the stomach to watch this whole thing, though, so I'll take your word for it!
