@rf_fozzy that makes sense. I suppose the question is whether that's counter balanced by the platform and legitimacy of being in parliament and whether sharing stuff like that on TikTok etc works for them. Apparently Reform is very big on TikTok so clearly getting some young support based on the demographic of TikTok which is another reason for some concern. |

The first part of this is true and a fair point. But it also opens him up to much more scrutiny than he had when an MEP too. So works both ways. As for TikTok - I think the jury is out on that one. There is evidence that many have *seen* the videos, but not much evidence that it has led to increased support (see the breakdown by Ashcroft that Paul posted a bit back). |

To further illustrate my point. Let's say Labour announces a policy on immigration (Farage's wheelhouse obviously). Yvette Cooper goes on Today programme to stump for the policy, BBC must also invite official opposition to counterbalance (Tory shadow Hme Sec). Today also invite expert to put points across and also someone to perhaps rebut those claims. In the past because he wasn't an MP, Farage could (and often did) fill that role. Now, as an MP, he can't. Not unless (for balance and impartiality reasons) they also have the Lib Dems, Greens, SNP etc etc and for obvious practical reasons, although that might be the actual base solution, they can't do it. |

Well it will be interesting to see what happens as immigration will clearly be something that comes up and Farage will certainly want stick his oar in.
