Not sure you need to regret it. In many respects I think all it would do is strengthen the big 2 not give a wider representation. I would argue constituencies that don’t return a clear winner - especially when that’s a lesser represented party - more people will give options 2 or 3 etc towards Labour/Conservative simply by averages.
It doesn’t increase the breadth of representation just the breadth of people who think they making representation.
Though frankly it would barely change the results of any constituencies.
And moreover it’s old ground we ain’t going back to.

If we did move to PR, I’m thinking we’d have foghorn Farage and his minions in Parliament for a long time to come.
The Great Reallocation would not only affect the make up of Parliament but it would, I’m sure, lead to a reshaping of party platforms. But to what effect I have no clue.
Plus side is that it might have avoided the Brexit idiocy. Downside is that even the current car crash of a Tory party would still have a route to power by means of coalition with populist tools like Foghorn. PR won’t solve all our problems, and it will give us new ones. I’m still in favour overall but it ain’t no panacea.

I'm pretty sure I voted for PR. But not 100% sure, memory is a funny thing. I wonder if I could find any sort of note about it anywhere. Hmmm... goes off to search diary. G

Diary of course means Fetch blog and/or Fetch training notes. Nope, nothing. Votes about whether I should do a disclosure blog about "doing a Paula" at Loch Ness marathon 2012 (the poll result was no, but I did it anyway. Bit like our governments). And 24 June 2016 "Weird day - Britain votes to leave EU. I voted to remain. I'm not winning in these referenda! Hopefully Scotland will leave UK and rejoin EU! G" (so I'm wondering if that was a reference only to the 2014 No to Scottish Independence referendum, or also to the 2011 No to PR?) G

The idea that the system offered would have strengthened the main two parties is one of the more eccentric takes that I’ve heard.

I seem to remember the feeling that I didn't have all the info I felt I needed, but thinking that change would be a good thing

When I was a kid, the National Front and British National Party were like the bogeyman, representing a nightmare that represented the unthinkable; the very worst thing that the United Kingdom might become.
I remember a strong argument being made along the lines that PR would give these malevolent voices an official platform to spread their poison.
Now, despite a ‘barely-there’ veil over their racism, they’re in charge, so that argument no longer has merit.

“Senior Tories call for ban on political bets by MPs after election scandal”
Hahahaha. Talk about shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted.

Think the referendum for a different voting system should have played into the Brexit style vote: first past the post, yes or no. Then into the negotiation of what replaces it.
Which PM was it involved in both those votes..? Cameron really is one of the worst ever politicians.
Except perhaps for Farage. Not really setting the world on fire is he? Why is he squabbling with BoJo - someone not even in the frame right now.
New prediction: this election has the worst turnout ever as even the protest vote is sh1t!
