I cant believe I will type this but I have some sympathy with the SNP position on Westminster holding the decision on if another referendum can held. However I don't think those powers should be transferred without some agreed parameters otherwise the SNP would have us voting until they got the answer they wanted. At the very least there should be at least 50% of voters having voted for a party that supports independence and maybe it should even be 50% of the eligible voters or 60% of those that actually vote and there should also be something about the time between votes. |

It sounds complicated trying to make a GE also a referendum on whether to have a referendum!

I've been reading some interesting stuff about the likely complexities of the FTA and the prospects of any kind of "deal" by December. It looks like an awful plate of spaghetti and I wonder how much of the government's current radio silence on Brexit is because the penny is finally dropping on what they have got themselves into. It certainly looks like NI has some major problems ahead, regardless of what the Blonde Idiot thinks.

It's just the same can kicking except this time the UK has backed itself into a much worse corner than it was in previously. Dug the hole deeper, so to speak.

Dug the hole deeper, now pointing at the hole and saying optimistically this looks like a great hole to jump down, sorry about the inevitable casualties. Agree with first para Bazo and it is a sensible position for Labour to facilitate as unionists seem to be largely lost cause devout Tories and the SNP won't be around forever one way or another so it is worth being on their side to appeal to those votes as well as it being the fairest solution to the upcoming constitutional changes. |

Renationalisation of the Northern Rail to be confirmed by Wednesday and then potentially South West Rail within 2 months..... so perhaps Tories have listened a little to Labour ft.com |

I like the Kensit score. Didn't know Grant Shapp's brother was in BAD. I was at a party with Liam Gallagher once. Does that make mine 2? |
