The only person Boris Johnstone cares about is himself and that sentence from Gove was nasty.

I just looked at the sidebar, I wish I'd had a bet now, especially on the idiot, indecisive, prevaricating, fence sitting Corbyn-led collapse of the Labour party, could have made a few quid.

Diogenes.

I keep reading that everyone in here is more intelligent than the British public.

So I figured I didn’t need to include a smiley face in my last post to signify that it was a joke.

Of course I don’t believe there is an instant pot of gold once we leave.

Leave 48%
Remain 52%

Right in line with all opinion polls for the last year or so.

I think anyone who cares about social democracy will, like me, be both saddened and worried this morning. Not because I don't respect the result, but because of what that result may well represent.

The truth is that most people don't really think about the NHS until they have need of it. Most people don't think about the criminal justice system until they have need of it. No one has a good word to say about Trade Unions until they're being bullied in the workplace. No one thinks about the welfare state until they lose their job or have an accident at work. Health and safety is for others not for them.

Myriad tiny cogs in our lives that work away without us ever having to think about them. You only notice when the clock stops.

The trick that's been pulled is telling people that a stopped clock is right twice a day and persuading then that its better than one that works but need putting right and winding up occasionally.
