Bazoaxe, if the Libdems won enough seats to form a majority government (yeah, right - cloud cuckoo land), they would have straight up cancelled Brexit. No public vote.
The Libdems went purely and simply for the Remain voters and fuck off to democracy. Except the great British public (which isn’t actually stupid) saw straight through that.

If the great British public could explain to me why Brexit is so important to them, what benefits it will deliver and what problems it would solve, I would accept that, DV.
However they can’t. The explanation from most would be “well, it’s Brexit it, innit?” If able to go into more detail they might say “we get rid of all the **** & **** taking our benefits and houses and be better off.”
The truth is it’s the Conservatives who are responsible for destroying the welfare state, underfunding infrastructure and public services, and selling off public housing.
Leaving the EU has been sold as a panacea, which it is not.

Lies and bullshit have beaten an utterly incompetent opposition. Good luck UK, I think you’re going to need it 😔

It’s not the outcome I wanted, but democracy is what it is. Now it is time for Johnson to do what he has promised and fund vital public services. If schools get the money promised, by 2022/23, they will be (according to the Institute of Fiscal Studies) back up to pupil funding levels of 2010. Yayy....

One on the consequences of the vote is that Northern Ireland is now irrelevant and DUP has no leverage. There are customs checks in the Irish Sea. Tories will now say, so what?

A very disappointing night.
Summed up better than I could by the indy100...
"it's not the dream for anyone who would like to believe they live in a country where people would not vote in a racist, misogynistic, homophobic buffoon with a demonstrable record of both lying and completely failing to grasp reality".
Saddens me enormously. 5 more years of right wing austerity. Where will we be by then?
You reap what you sow. Can't say that people weren't warned..

Delighted to wake up to the news that the Brexit party cost the Tories our seat. When I went to bed it was a 99% chance change to Tory, but the excellent local MP won by about 700 votes with about 1400 wasted by idiots voting BP. Small victories.

I think the austerity thing is done.
Don’t forget from 1st Feb we have another £350 million every week to spend on public services.

@larkim - our labour MP also survived, despite going into the day with only a 784 majority. A small happy moment.
