I'm off to vote shortly. It won't make any difference round here because the Tory will win, but at least i can say i did my bit to fight the shitshow that is about to ensue.

Been and voted on my way out to London for annual team rah rah rah event followed by Christmas Dinner!
Polling station was very busy!
York Outer seems to almost be a Conservative marginal today, despite an 8,000 majority to overcome. Ever hopeful, but not optimistic. (That's as much as because the incumbent is a largely locally invisible party yes man as anything else!)

Just voted (silver lining of my train being cancelled). Not busy, but not deserted as usual... but then again, I normally vote 12 hours later than this!
It's a red-blue marginal here (Colne Valley) so every vote counts...

I voted by post earlier this week. Our Labour MP has a 1% majority and is likely to lose to a Tory who's been groomed for future greatness, parachuted in from the outside.

If Johnson gets a sizeable majority, is there any chance he could then ignore the ERG and do something a little more rational, should he so wish? Or is he completely in hock to the hard right? I'm not making the mistake of presuming any principle on his part, just a possible pragmatic change of alliance.

I think a bigger majority, locally it seems the LDs will fail, if they fail here, they will fail almost everywhere, 40+.

I'm trying not to let the 'no point voting' people wind me up.
Its the low turnout that reinforces the politicians beliefs that they don't actually have to stand by what they've said as not enough vote to make them feel accountable to the public.
The number of women that have told me it's 'not for them' and they 'don't do politics' must have Mrs Pankhurst and the Suffragettes turning in their graves
