If there isn't a deal by June(ish) next year then it's either extension or no deal, in order to come into operation it would have to be ratified by each country's own parliamentary procedure so there is no option of a quick phone-around the council like there has been up to now. Of course there may well be a bit of fannying around concerning the precise deadline for an extension, but there can be no last-minute deals. Ie, come October, it would be a straight choice between no deal and extension.

Forgive me you are right JDA. So this time next year we will be either languishing in a 2 year extension agreed in July or facing up to another version of no deal ( I’ll discount that a deal can be done in a year).

I'll be staying up, I always do. I'll be hoping for a Portillo moment, someone like Raab, IDS losing their seat. Luckily I have the day off on Friday, kids can get themselves up for school 😉

I'll be counting in Aberdeen. Unfortunately I don't have the day off on Friday, so it could be long shift.

Vote cast! I always vote at 7am and have never seen a busier Polling Station at that time.

Based on the bulk of the polling, anything less than a 8-10 point lead in the exit poll for the Tories will be a shock. Not sure if Ipsos Mori final poll has been released yet.

I've woken up resigned and depressed and will vote with no hope of anything other than what JRitchie out lined

I’ve done my bit just after the Polling Station opened. We live in a Labour stronghold, where the MP for the last 30 years has just retired. We also live in a ‘leave’ area. All the stuff through the post from the stories has not contained any information on policy, just messages about getting Brexit sorted and slagging off the other parties and scaremongering about weak coalitions (ironically).
Suffice to say I didn’t vote Tory. I never could.
I’ll be watching the exit polls tonight with hope of a turnaround.
