Andrew Adonis (who is probably less forensic that either Maugham or Dag) is also a good one and he was debunking almost immediately. David Henig and Matthew Holehouse are two good ones in the field for the trade stuff.

I wouldn't trust Adonis for precision actually (too much of a politician, policy-based-evidence type), though Henig also good.

Another Twitter tip - Dmitry Grozoubinski. Skewers nonsense on trade very swiftly.

Cummings is looking a bit smug "we are going to win". It does make you wonder what they have up their sleeves but then again this bluster about obeying the law but doing the opposite may be a ploy to get the opposition to spend valuable time scrabbling around for a way to preempt this instead of doing something sensible. I thought once they came back from the pro-rogue we might see some new bills coming forward from the opposition to further lock down Blowjo. Nothing on the horizon yet. I think they need to get off their backsides and get moving. It's looking like one of those ceasefires where one side is niavely waiting and the other busy plotting.

^ I think the smugness is a bit of a rouse to try to put the 'opposition' of. Plus that Cummings is such a smarmy bastard it's a permanent sneer.

It saddens me that Cummings it talking about winning and losing. That shouldn't be what this is all about. It should be about doing what is best for the country as a whole. If only he could come out and honestly tell us why it will be better for us if he 'wins. |

Baz. One of the problems right back to day 0 back in 2016 was the language of winning and losing, rather than talking factually about what is best. Cummings didn't mention how or when. Brexit is going to happen. It is about how. |

I wonder if you are more or less confident about that prediction than you were earlier in the year when you were telling us we were heading for no deal in March, WS?

Another +1 for Grozoubinski. Also may I add Frances Coppola @Frances_Coppola And secondly on riots BBC pundit (Brendan O'Neil - yes I know he's a gobshite), calling for riots on air: twitter.com Backing up Joris Bonson's implicit threat: thetimes.co.uk Interesting point here I came across on Twitter, on violence: a) violence is predominantly a young man's game b) the Remain demographic is predominantly young, and WAY younger than leave. I'd politely point out Brexiteers, do you really want to go there? Are you 65 year olds really gonna be manning the barricades? I suggest not. |
