Memories of the Ed Stone.....seemed like a good idea at the time, no one had the nous to think it through properly.

We do also have the track record of the two female PMs.... I'm all for including more women (and that includes some positive discrimination moves) but the women-only thing was a bit silly at best.

It's not even fair to call this a terrifying real and sadistic episode of Yes, Minister. That was clever and totally plausible. This... this more the 'and then they woke up, because it was all just a dream' way of getting out of the corner you've clumsily written yourself into. |

This is a good point. twitter.com Suggests that even those advocating Brexit think it's flawed. Time to scrap it. Revoke A50. |

Well, some people are still pushing the fantasy island unicorn stuff about how we'll have such better trade deals and the EU will come begging as soon as they realise we're serious... On a different note, did you read about farridge seemingly forgetting who his core demographic are and slagging of the Queen Mum? Going after Harry and Charles is totally on brand (after all, they have all those terribly uncouth ideas like marrying slightly brown people and caring about the environment), but Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon is surely only to be revered? |

Whether you voted Leave or Remain, surely we can all agree that wishing death on a 16 year old girl is pretty low. theguardian.com |

Actually I saw Farridge’s comments as a back-handed compliment, he was talking to Aussies after all, and hoping the Queen would live as long as her mum if not longer to keep Charles off the throne... so QM as an overweight, gin swilling, horse racing hedonist STILL lived to 101 due to fantastically good breeding and super strong genes😂. I have always thought and still think that BJ wants to remain (because he is lazy), but wants to be “forced” into it. |

More evidence Brexit has brought unacceptable views and actions to the surface. Headteacher abused for being Irish... "Literally shocked. Completely unprovoked racist attack by someone on the street who overheard me on the phone. Told me they ‘couldn’t wait for Boris and Brexit Party to make Brexit happen and send me and my lot back to f***ing Ireland... 1/2 told me to tell my lot to stop trying to stop Brexit with their f***ing border’... have never ever felt so shocked or unwelcome in this country! How has this kind of abuse become visible. twitter.com What a great country we live in. |
