Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Ran into work today - sore heel. Oops. On further investigation, tight Achilles tendon. Did some stretching and massaging as best I could at work while waiting at photocopier.

It's the other foot (as opposed to previous PF foot). Rest, massage and icing. Sigh - just got my runing mojo back.

I've been suffering from this mildly for the past month now. Doesn't stop me from doing anything, but it's uncomfortable at times.

I'm really hoping it's just some bruising. It's come on bloody quickly if it is PF - I'm hobbling round the office like a good 'un. :(

No but I will do when I get home, Lettie. I only contracted it after this morning's run into work. The Achilles is stiff and I've given it a bit of a massage and stretch. It's throbbing slightly painfully now which is a bit unusual.

Wow - it's been painful; much more than the other one was. Iced it for instant relief, then let it warm up and did some stretching, massaging and rolling. Watched the Dr Sock vid posted some pages back and pressed into my tender bits on the calf. Discovered tender glute too and the remnants of a back twinge from a crap attempt at a dive into a lake last week.

Just been out in my lunch break to stretch against the side of our building. Tight calf. Couldn't really get the Achilles stretch to engage, but did lots of others.

Hiya. As FE has suggested, I've come to the end of the thread to ask a question which has already been asked probably, can anyone recommend Orthotic Insoles please? I had some hard plastic ones (which were orange, and now sold in green, but I can't find the make anywhere) Hopefully someone will know the ones I mean. Thanks in advance

hope thinks feel more settled now RS and you have been able to ease tenderness - maybe a heat pack after a few days if it doesnt ease x

There's the Scholl orthaheel. A bit of support can help in the interim to stabilise but I wouldn't look at it as a long-term solution/

Feels a bit better, Lettie, ta. Just had to walk quite a way to visit someone and not too bad considering that. Will try heat later.
