Hilly and traily. But with unbeatable views on a clear day, and a good café, parking and toilets on site. And very friendly.

Nearly forgot - I'm told Muncaster Castle is worth a visit. Not been myself yet but I do think Ravenglass would be a nice base for a short break.

We’re definitely more at home with trails and lumps/hills than fast 😁

mine too - despite it being 'mountainous' for this flatlander! There was talk of a potential Keswick parkrun get-together in early July - can't remember why or when though... |

Keswick is one of my favourite parkruns- very scenic, quite fast and you get a day in Keswick afterwards. Whinlatter is certainly an experience and very tough (slow). Parking is not cheap especially if you stay on for a walk. Only one cafe which gets quite busy. Muncaster Castle was is also very good. Free parking for parkrun users. Good toilets and cafe- with a good system to pre-order your bacon roll. It's an interesting course with undulations and laps round the Castle. All 3 are well worth a visit, but Keswick keeps you coming back...👍 Just my view of course....

I’m definitely following Tawd Valley parkrun’s page. Love the cancellation reasons given too.

Global Head of Health and Wellbeing Chrissie Wellington announces her resignation from parkrun at the end of the month via her blog. Same as when the COO resigned, she is saying she doesn't have another role lined up.

Interesting. She has been quite front and centre in the Comms since the CEO has been hiding.
