Unsurprisingly, plenty of cancellations for black ice round here for tomorrow. That'll save me having to dig my car out from the snow to go and volunteer. I've volunteered three times in the last five weeks and all three have been cancelled the day before.

A nice range of animals mentioned on the parkrun cancellations page - I count polar bears, penguins (and Pingu), sheep, hippos, pigs, hoth wampas (Star Wars apparently), squirrels, brass monkeys, Yeti. Lots of mentions of Torvill & Dean too.

The maximum number of parkruns in Yorkshire and the Humber that will happen tomorrow is 14/64 and I suspect that will go down. Should be better by next Saturday.

Mildly optimistic about Silloth tomorrow. It's provisionally on. All the other runs around us have cancelled apart from Keswick, and it was cancelled at the last minute due to ice last week.

Looking around Manchester, I can only see two still on currently that are inspecting in the morning (coincidentally one is my local).

There is a course inspection (by me) before 8am at Dinton. We will be on the alt course for sure but hoping the paths are ok.

After Delamere ran their January 2023 event on basically a solid white ice rink I was hopeful they might do the same tomorrow, but sadly not. A Saturday morning in bed instead I think.
