Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I’m rather liking the new pro direct technical kit. And while still quite expensive, it seems a bit more affordable than previous ranges

Has anyone run Millfield parkrun in Easingwold and can advise whether trail or road shoes are better? Their webpage says mainly stone surface but also mentions trails and grass. We're staying in N Yorks this week and it looks like our nearest. Thanks!

It had a fairly long section on grass when I ran there before the great stoppage, but I've a feeling that someone more local said that a path might have been put in on this section now. I was road shoes in any case..

Close call CasB but I'd certainly consider trails if it's been anywhere near wet in the preceding days.

It's probably a 70/30% split in favour of paths to grass but the sections on the field (which has a slight incline) were churned up and muddy when I did it and that was during an earlier part of year. Can you not take both and leave a pair near the start/finish?

Ahhh, OTOS may be onto something there.

Looking at course map it does now suggest that a path has been added to the 'recreation aeea' that wasn't there 'back in the day'.
That would probably favour a choice of roads in that case as the rest of the surfaces were fine.

Thanks both, much appreciated. It's been pretty dry here the last few days so roads sound like they should be fine, though I like the 'taking both' option and may well do that :-)

Not heard anything about it for ages, no idea what the hold up is, meant to be a hard as hell course though.
