52 out of about 220odd. We aren't going back yet. We are in a park with narrowish paths. Lots busier in the park with families in the recent months on a Sunday morning which adds to the ormal dog walker congestion. We've delayed juniors as quite frankly, don't want to field potential flack from parkusers that don't know what jpr is whilst there are still restrictions. Quite willing to restart when restrictions are fully lifted. Our local council is in full support. |

Our local junior event isn’t starting yet. The messaging hasn’t given specific reasons at this stage.

Just seen an update, 52 out of 289 Jpr. Lots not got the landowner permission apparently. We also didn't think it was fair our 11-14 yo were excluded initially either.

Where have you seen an update Taz? We are still working on getting landowner permission. Very frustrating as we were promised it wouldn't be a problem and have announced we are on track to start on the 11th!

One of our core team listens to all the podcasts so I assume from that?

Copied and pasted from the parkrun UK blog/website - blog.parkrun.com "junior parkrun With just nine days to go before the first 52 junior parkrun events return in England, we continue to be both humbled and amazed by the incredibly positive responses from parkrun communities, landowners, and other stakeholders. So far, 90% of our 289 English junior parkrun teams have expressed a desire to return, and begun the process of reopening their events. Alongside the events scheduled to start on 11 April, we have another 28 due to return over the following weeks, and 89% of landowners who have so far responded to our requests have granted permission." Only observation of my own - "89% of landowners who have responded" - I wonder how many of the 289 haven't responded? I could make some assumptions based on the numbers they've given and guess more than half but I have no underpinning source for that. |

Well - to be 'fair' 80 (52+28) out of 90 perhaps - but the point is valid

I think it's quite an ask for HQ to be dealing directly with all the landowners and I suspect 'negotiations' with some are a bit difficult at times. It shouldn't be taken for granted that all 5k runs will be in a position to start on the 5th June. |
