Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Seeing as it is Sunday I thought I would tag along on a Junior parkrun ;-) but they all must have been so quick off the blocks that I never saw any - even the marshals had packed up and left. Anyway same route as last week and nearly a minute quicker so might try for a sub 30 next week :-)

Had an email from parkrun last night: ‘Thank you for volunteering at Andover parkrun, event number 105 on 2013-06-29’.

I guess this is a good time for catching up on correspondence, but I didn’t realise they were that far behind!

Speaking of correspondence, I'm going to use this time to tidy up the inbox. What do other EDs/RDs keep? Our old ED kept *everything*.

Hi Linds - I never delete an email. Not in work, home or parkrun. Plenty storage to archive old ones. We have labels set up in gmails:

2020 emails

Jan 2020

Feb 2020

...
2019 emails

...

The main folder should only be unread or not yet dealt with.

Great minds, I have also had a huge clear out of the parkrun Gmail and put everything into folders, except the most recent stuff that might be relevant for parkrun. I have one for Volunteer enquiries, one for enquiries about times and lost property, one for parkrun communications and one for correspondence with our landowners. I also cleared out my personal email account as well. Feeling virtuous today!

We keep and file pretty much everything in the gmail. The only emails that get deleted are ones that just say "Ok/thanks/see you then" etc.

Only things that have not been actioned yet or notices that I want the whole team to see get left in the inbox (the latter for maybe a week or two).
