Tempted to bite the Parkrun bullet as I have a Saturday morning free from daughters' sporting commitments - it will be at Wimpole Estate

I ran at Nambour parkrun on Saturday for the 8th time so I have now run 8 parkruns at least 9 times and 9 parkruns at least 8 times. By the end of the year I should have a p-index of 9.

Why not next week, njosmith ?
I got my p-index 6 two weeks ago and have a couple of runs on five. I suspect though that if i get to eight it will be by one of two nearby new parkruns and that the seven and eight will fall close together. This is the only challenge i keep even half an eye on.

57.5 Degrees of Pain
As a middle aged man I pay close attention to my p-index. I would hate to embarrass myself or the event by a swift diversion into the bushes.

Dick if you want a firm flat tarmac surface the whole way round, Exmouth is your go-to parkrun down that way. Along the seafront, friendly team, nice sea views all the way. Exeter Riverside has more variety of surface - tarmac, stony-ish path then skirting the rugby pitches on the grass.

@Dvorak Nambour is the closest event to my Parents in Law. We will be back before Christmas but not next week.

njo - will be flying down to Brisbane on Sunday (missing Nambour) - but around the area for a few days. Mainly river & botanic garden runs from the hotel, and a few walks around Noosa, Tambourines, Gold Coast, Koala sanctuary etc. Any other good places to nab zones (aka English tourists sight seeing, but not wanting to divert or misuse thread or poach on local territory) ?

Beeston is to do its first Xmas Day parkrun this year, it should take some of the pressure off The Forest hopefully. If you are travelling North up the M1 on Christmas Day bear us in mind
