Leicester Victoria parkrun was cancelled this Sat due to preparations for the Leicester Half and Full Maras on Sunday. However, due to flooding on the route, Sunday's races are now under threat of cancellation, but the parkrun is still cancelled whatever is decided.

Going to Jersey at weekend... Hopefully will also put a demon to bed ( 2011 marathon - temperatures soared to 30 and the o/h suffered badly but continued with her own private police escort to the very end ).

I'll look out for you Kev - I shall also be in Jersey attempting to run sufficiently slowly that I don't compromise the marathon on Sunday. You've just aided my decision regards choice of shirt for Saturday - Fetch top rather than 100 shirt it is

Andy - Will look out for you, haven't got as far as shirt choices yet but we also aim to have a very easy run then hop back on the bus to St Helier in time to catch breakfast at our hotel.

Pretty much the single-transferable parkrun anniversary article. I have a squad of first time volunteers tomorrow doing a `takeover' - should be fun. I hope folk are patient with them.

I was going to complain about the article's assertion that millions of people took part every week, but I see that this has now been amended to "more than 350,000".
