What Jovi said - you can't stop someone running, but I wouldn't encourage, support or condone any political group being "represented" at a parkrun. As others have said, check the charter - you may be able to formally say it's "not allowed" so that it doesn't have to appear to be a matter of your own personal opinion.
I'd say same of any pressure group or even any group that isn't obviously a charity e.g. a major football supporters group takeover or a local business takeover or any such group should not be allowed. It's too divisive.
Crikey, what are the group of people even thinking?

Would the position be different for a church or other religious organisation?
I wonder how much practical difference it would actually make - how much political discourse can you get into when someone is clicking a stopwatch as you cross the line of scanning your barcode? Maybe when the marshal shouts "It's all downhill from here" it could be seen as a Brexit commentary?

Yeah. I am not sure I see a problem as at the end of the day it is getting more people running and keeps events going. If you don’t agree you don’t need to engage or support. As long as they don’t use it as a demonstration or attempt to pull you into the religion.

Personally I would boycott a church group too. I feel religion is as divisive as politics.

Brexit is so polarising though it would add a degree of "needle" to an otherwise pleasant experience.
I can't see HQ tolerating it if tipped off about it. Some people got annoyed enough about private health related companies getting involved in parkrun (there's a political argument there about the interrelationship with the NHS etc), Brexit (either leave or remain) would be a step too far.

From the Event Charter on the wiki
"parkrun and parkrun events are independent – parkrun Event Directors should protect parkrun events from being used to publicise political and other campaigns and causes, or used by campaigns and causes to leaflet/canvass parkrunners. Remember that not all parkrunners may agree with every campaign and cause. parkruns and parkrunners may wish to publicise worthy charities, but also remember that some charitable causes may not attract the support of all parkrunners."
Seems both clear and entirely reasonable to me.

About 18 months ago, at our local parkrun, a few Vegan runners had to be spoken to by the Run Director.
They had spotted a runner wearing a McDonalds t-shirt & were booing & jeering him. The runner in the t-shirt complained to the Run Director about his treatment.
