57.5 Degrees of Pain
You could forward the email to your Ambassador OC. So he could reiterate the Foxtrot Oscar response ;-) .

OC - I'd just reply to say that the rules are clearly stated, include a link to the no barcode, no time rule and say you won't be replying to any further emails. Hopefully that should shut them up.

On a not disimilar note I had to remonstartte with one runner a few weeks back who was running with a waist lead (which isnt allowed). He tried to tell me the rules of other runs as we were running along. I just said that I wasn't entering into a discussion with them about what they did or didn't do at other runs. We don't allow it here - end of. As it turned out we caught up afterwards and had a nice friendly chat and all was resolved amicably and we moved on.

Jovi Runner, what is the rule in regard to waist leads? I see

https://support.parkrun.com/hc/en-us/articles/200566293-Can-I-run-with-my-dog-

which says

"Please keep your dog under firm control at all times, either on a short lead or a harness with a short lead, and take extreme care to avoid tripping other runners."

My reading is that the pertinent factor is the length of the lead.

At our run we have a strict no extending, waist or cani X leads due to the narrowness of the paths - strictly short handheld only. Despite us announcing this in every pre run brief we inevitably gt a good amount of people who seem top think this rule doesn't apply to them!

Fair enough, if you announce it at the start then people should listen and abide by the rule. Even if they turn up with a harness then can always shorten it and use it as a handheld only.

pmj - This type of restriction is also mentioned on event course pages albeit among all of the other useful safety instructions so can be missed if not read.
