Workington has been declared touch-and-go. Being on tarmac and largely shaded, icy conditions are hazardous. Keswick, where we're planning to be tomorrow, will be precarious if the wooden footbridges (four in each direction) are slippery with ice.

Edison I have only recently been to MUSA and portrush which both operate ad hoc refreshments.
I've done a few others over there but can't remember.

Portrush too right enough, given its location. Not tried Musa - PB course despite its undulation...(coughs short)

Despite having no new snow, Delamere has just cancelled - ice even on the trails I think. Likely to be Forestry Commission-directed I think, though they are a sensible team so are more than capable of cancelling off their own bats!

There will be a course inspection for Elgin this evening (by me), a check of weather forecast and decide if an early morning inspection required or an early call off. At mo it's snowy but wet - if stays like that okay, if freezes it will be off.

It's not just ice to be concerned about, but also temperature conditions for volunteers. Predicting a feels like of -6C here tomorrow morning!
