Saw some stats from Edinburgh. Suggest that last year, about 1% of finishers walked. Admittedly, Edinburgh is a course ( and event) (busy, parking issues, prom) where if you wanted a walk, you would just have a walk. But I do suspect that for most UK events, walking is still very much a fringe activity.

Jovi, apparently 312 ran the York/Heslington double, 9 volunteered at both of which 7 also ran both (there was at least one tail walker among those) and 17 ran York and volunteered at Hes, while 16 did it the other way round. All stats courtesy of Stephen the run director’s facebook posts (not on FB, but I can read posts).

Running at or near to average time is also well outside my capabilities at the moment. On NYD, I was about 8 minutes outside (19 behind first, 15 ahead of tail).

It's one of the small-print items at the bottom of the event page in event statistics.

Maz It's in the dodgy brown coloured stats bar at the bottom of your event pages.
