It's probably about the same distance Dvorak, it's just that there can be a bit of a bottle-neck due to traffic lights near Dinton, if there's a large attendance (very likely) and I'm too far back (also very possible at the moment) it could get tense! It'll probably work without a hitch...

It's so hard to understand where the £2.9m of income that parkrun received last financial year went when events are run by volunteers, most events receive contributions to buy the start up equipment and numbers seem to be growing organically. Why do they need more revenue streams?
Appreciate that some costs are unavoidable, companies need auditors, websites need hosting, insurance, etc. but highest paid director was on £120k last year with the rest of the directors taking the same again between them. The average admin salary was £46k which seems a bit steep. Could some of these central roles have a volunteer element?
Maybe this is just want it takes to properly and professionally run an organisation as large as parkrun?
Wonder how much PSH Retail Limited (aka Contra) will be paying its directors?

Surely parkrun hq hasn't just discovered the democratic trendiness of crowd funding?
When's the AGM?

I will think about a regular financial contribution to parkrun but I suspect the answer will be a no from me.

500 new parkruns at £3000 each* - there's £1.5 million.
*I don't know what costs are in other parkrun countries.

Amazing run from Alex Yee today for second fastest parkrun ever. His profession over the years is brilliant.

100,000 tshirts at, say, £10 a pop is another million, plus they do need to have some reserves for the future and to be sure they remain solvent. The £120k/£46k salaries will include on costs (NIC and pensions), which takes the top line amount to the individuals down a bit.
An organisation the size that parkrun is now needs a solid foundation, and having the right people to deal with the regulatory requirements of being a charity and a company, with operations in 20 countries, is a necessity (imo).
I wouldn't have a problem making a regular donation to parkrun locally and centrally to support both my local run and the development of parkruns nationally, which I have the opportunity to attend whenever I want to.

(Just looked at the accounts and see that the salary coata are already split from the on costs, so the second part of my first paragraph is wrong)
