Eynsham the Red knows rain dear
I had hoped to do Witney (9am) and then Bicester (10:30) but I suspect that the throngs of shoppers visiting Bicester Village shopping theme park may snarl up the roads and cause big delays. I’m still undecided as to whether to give it a try. 🤔

Sigh
For the truly obsessed (?), there's a 15-mile run taking in two parkruns happening around here tomorrow: facebook.com

"Join us on New Year’s Day for the Potteries parkrun Challenge

The full 15 miles loop runs through 7 parks, along two canals and one river. If you start with the Hanley parkrun, you can run with us to Knutton and complete The Wammy parkrun. You will have done 10 miles.
If, after your night NY celebrations, you need to get up later, you might be able to run from home and join us on the route. E.g. join us at Brampton Sidings and we show you the full cycle path from Station Walks to Silverdale, just 5 miles running.

See the map and the below time schedule

Start at Ashfield New Rd,

in front of Newcastle AC clubhouse 8.15 am
Mile 1.0 Lyme Valley Park 8.25 am
Mile 2.0 Thurnburrow Drive 8.35 am
Mile 3.0 Harthill Park 8.45 am
Mile 4.31 Start Hanley parkrun 9.00 am

Mile 7.44 Finish Hanley parkrun barcode timing
Mile 7.86 Start run to Newcastle 9.40 am

Mile 9.0 Trent Mersey canal 9.55 am

Mile 10.0 Shelton New Rd cycle path 10.07 am

Mile 11.0 Brampton Sidings 10.19 am
Mile 11.32 Start The Wammy parkrun 10.30 am
Mile 14.60 Finish The Wammy parkrun barcode timing
Warm down to Ken’s cafe, Newcastle AC clubhouse"

Congrats Torry and Baz. I’m doing York tomorrow. First time there for me but staying in a holiday cottage with friends so how it goes will be dependant on how much alcohol there is.

If anyone is running between Pontefract and Nostell, is there a nicer route than running down the various main roads? Can you access Nostell from the north?

I'm running between again this year, accompanied by my son - providing I can keep my cold symptoms at bay.
