Yes TR. The stopwatches are started at the start and pressed every time a finisher goes over the line. This should correspond with the number of tokens, which is why it is absolutely essential that every finisher takes a token. This differs from most timed races which rely on a chip when you go over the line.

Thanks everyone! My marathon total will always be higher though; yearly mara/parkrun ratio is almost 2:1 Well done NSC! I was thinking of making a necklace out of the finish tokens
