First time at Troon today. 6am alarm and 150mile round trip for a 5k seems perfectly normal to me 😂

This year I’m going to set up cakeHUG. HUG is in capital letters as it’s the most important part and it *has* to be capitalised. It’s a safe space, no platform, gluten free, dairy free, cake free, organic, vegan, sugar free, diverse, gender neutral, no trigger warning environment.

It’s not about the hug though, and it never was about the hug. It’s not about the cake either. It’s about running 5k as fast as

possible. But don’t tell anyone that bit!

Hope the Swindon runner is OK.

Just five off our all-time record today, at 570. Plenty of tourists (pre-planned and because of local cancellations) and first timers. We had to have a last minute change to the course because of ice, so we had mud instead. :-)

A record 600 at Woodley today, also Newbury was a record I believe. It’s getting crowded around here.

Has anyone bought a parkrun wristband/card from these guys?

parkrun-barcode.com

Was thinking about a wristband but with them stating not to wear it all the time (I wouldn't anyway) it made me doubt the durability.
