160m long, seeing that it is not a race, 160m long shouldn't matter one little jot, except for the fact, it is a race, if you see it that way.

Cross country races don't have defined distances. Accurate or inaccurate distances does not a race make.

Indeed, try telling people wh bust a gut running a marathon only to be told it is short.
It's a race if you race it no matter what anyone says or bills it.

It's a bad feeling when a race is long but is is nothing compared to being in PB shape running the race of your life only to watch it get marked on power of 10 as short!!!!
Parkrun no matter what you call it is whatever you want it to be.
I wanted it to be a bike ride so went to France for the weekend instead

Thanks guys for tips my ED told me that when we do it on 4/5 week roster I didn't need to briefing but I feel I should. Plus comedy will be introduced in mine (people slap heads in disbelief)
I will also need to ask for tourists before I deny of hearing about the place.
St Neots parkrun coming to cinema near you.
It will be parking where you do for the half and the start of the fun run looking like a three lapper

I don't deny of hearing of the place. My stock go-to when the tourists tell me where they are from is "Sorry to hear that!".
You do need occasionally to drop something unusual into the briefing, if it's only ever "thanks volunteers, don't kick dogs, hold kids by the ear, go" then people won't listen after a while.
