Mrs Jigs (Luverlylegs) I had my highest ever finish there, 6 years or so ago.

I was a bit quicker than I am now, turned up to do the event and found out all the fast girls and boys were off doing a local XC race. I ended up being 5th.

Did Blaise Castle parkrun this morning. Lovely course, parkland and woodland. Nice cafe at the end. Something weird happened though.... I parked and bought a ticket and put it on the dashboard. When I returned to the car after the run, an identical ticket was under the wipers. The car park requires reg number and that had been filled in too. Any ideas what happened? Either someone was doing a random act of kindness and didn't see my proper ticket, or there was some form of parkrun promotion I wasn't aware of, or someone was desperate to meet me (though no number had been filled in). I truly am baffled....


I reckon two tickets came out, someone saw the second one and popped it on your car.

Did a somewhat windy Heslington today - missed a nasty squall while running, but it got me when walking back to the car instead.

It's tarmac and flat and should be a really fast course. But somehow it wasn't. Maybe it was the wind.

hellywobs That’s my home parkrun - I was there today 😊 if you saw a multicoloured middle aged woman in a crop top and skort that was me 😊

I too got hit by the rain when walking back to the car 😃

There is often a bit of wind at the final corner but today it felt there was wind everywhere 😃
