No results also from Ruchill (6th birthday) today. Bumper turnout. I saw the tailjogger come in as I drank my prosecco and ate my chocolate cake.

I was chatting to someone (3rd finisher) and he remarked it was like a French wedding ;-) And as it turns out, his wife us French, so he'd know.

Text received, results up. 124 finishers. I maybe should have recognised the tail, spoken to her at a couple of events. VW80. And she's continuing her touristing, with Aberdeen, Alness and Kirkwall in her last ten, all a long way from base. And Queen's Glasgow, which is fearsomely hilly.

Another oddity is that i saw the first woman was running with her phone in her hand! And she still got 19:20.

They’ve got the results at Maryport but need a code to send them out apparently.

I know the older woman you mean, met her on the ferry to Stornoway and her brother stays in the same small village as my in-laws.

I think they're supposed to ask runners for their position and their Garmin time if the timing and scanning haven't worked.

V'rap, most teams would do this but they are not obligated to, and are perfectly within their rights to just say, sorry the results were broken, come back next week. They would probably give everyone 59:59 so you get a run credit but don’t have to. Trying to recreate results from nothing would take an age and it’s not fair to burden the RD with that responsibility.

Reassuring, CW. I think the first time I was expected to spend the weekend trying to create a results list out of incomplete self-reported data would also be the last time I'd volunteer.
