Just done Marine Parade, which was my nendy. Surprisingly quiet, I had expected it to be busier but it seems numbers are less than others nearby. I wonder why? It is a very quick course , quickest i have been in a while. Absolutely freezing though, currently warming up with a coffee. And my next Nendy is Barry Island, 😆 |

Exmouth in the morning. I’ll be wearing my red, white and green hooped hat Typical Derby Tup, I have done Exmouth for the last three weeks, I just happened to be in a different area today. Hope you enjoyed it and the breeze wasn't too strong or cold! |

Sorry to miss you By Exmouth standards it was a decent day for December. I’m sure Exmouth has the longest third mile of any Parkrun ![]() |

Marine Parade is odd. The prom is super fast, like you say, and it’s incredibly easy to get to with some stuff nearby for afterwards. But it just seems really quiet. It will be bitterly cold with any wind however… The summer weeks on the beach are a real marmite course, I personally don’t like running on the sand so went a couple times but that was enough. |

tommy_b thats interesting, I didn't know they went on the beach in the Summer. Might have to go back then, I love running along the beach - like at Woolacombe (before the travelator...)

Yesterday was Witney parkrun’s Winter food bank collection. To mark this the “Diamond Wheezers” litter picking gang decided to volunteer and dress up as their alter egos, aka “The Hatton Garden Gang”

I need 77 for my Wilson Index (although I know "need" is an odd term to use) and it happens that my home parkrun Sandhurst it's where it's at this Saturday. I shall try running quickly to see if my recent Marcothon efforts are paying off in better fitness.
