Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

There seem to be lots of odd number chasing games around parkrun these days. Anyway, I did event number 77 at Sandhurst for my Wilson Index which is now 87 and luckily I can just run my home parkrun to fill in the gaps.

Big bonus was mum getting a new course and post-hospital PB at Sandhurst. She took 2 minutes off her previous best, though this came at the cost of a fall and a few bruises. :-o She's OK though and finished with a little run to the line.

I don't pay much attention to the lists, apart from visiting new ones.
The 5k app tells me if I've done something significant, like added another letter to a word or finished in a position I haven't done before, which is nice but not really something I want to get into

I'm planning on running both Saturdays, then Christmas at Frimley Lodge, my old home run and then New Year's Day volunteering at Sandhurst. Not sure what I'm doing yet, but it is likely to be finish related.

I'm other much more important news, my mum got a course PB at Sandhurst yesterday. Under 58 minutes and the first time under an hour since April 2019. She was also first in age category VF75-79* :-)

Best thing for her was she got herself there on the bus as we were away in Bristol. Nice effort all round!

* She was also last in that age category.

Exmouth was really busy today. It was their 5th anniversary and they aren't running tomorrow so I suspect many went there before going to Exeter tomorrow.

They had over 700 for their inaugural, I suspect there were more than 500 today.
Good atmosphere and nice to be out
