Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Jef, I’ve done it. My notes say 'Check web for car park, it’s signed when close + marshal to send to start.2 small laps around field, then 2 bigger laps around a larger field before returning to the smaller field to run the other way around to the finish. Was muddy, wear trails!'

I think that was the one where a number of tourists had gone for event 13 and the RD announced 12 at the first timers briefing. Quite a few sharp intakes of breath!

That was early this year and it was muddy. Car parks a good 10 min walk away.

Grove Fields parkrun this weekend for tourist 94. Anyone done it ?

Yes, as JC says, a good walk. I seem to recall we had to run it as we were late and I thought it was a good 10 min run

I enjoyed it - nice and flat, and the cafe was lovely.
One of our party used to live there as a young lad back in the 50s.

Question for everyone. Are the events taking place on New Years Day all required to start at 9am, (9:30 in Scotland or NI) or are any allowed to be later?

Thats a shame. I know they don't want double headers but a later one might encourage more volunteers or runners, and would allow for junior parkruns to take place as well in their normal slot

Keswick has announced that they won't be doing Christmas Day this year to avoid diluting volunteers.
