Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

57.5 Degrees of Pain
Thoroughly enjoyed Palacerigg (near Cumbernauld) today. Mixed underfoot and a bit long (alt course due to some building work), undulating rather than hilly and fine conditions.

Had a little sprint finish with a J11-14 boy on his first proper run (he plays football and parkrun was suggested to help with fitness), once he grasps pacing he'll be nippy!

Would you say that Teignmouth is beginner friendly?

Fields, I’ve not done the B-course, but the main course is flat, as it’s along prom adjacent to the sea wall. It can get narrow in places with runners in both directions, but I’d say it’s beginner friendly.

I was at Teignmouth on Saturday, I'd say it is beginner friendly. Very flat, although it can be windy and you might get wet by the occasional wave coming over :)

Definitely compared with Parke which has The Very Steep Hill and isn't exactly flat in other parts of the course. It is a lovely course though.

I discovered the purpose of the parkwalker role today - to make you feel crap about yourself when their walking pace is faster than your jeffing pace 🤣🤣🤣

I walk fast and did 41 minutes when I parkwalked a few weeks ago. But a friend managed 39 minutes a week later, on a harder course, so that's given me a new target for walking 5k now!
