It's my first day RDing today, well there are two of us doing it, I'm going to do the briefing which I am excited about 😁 going to do some milestone shout outs

We were thinking about cancelling yesterday morning because the roster was looking so thin, we put out another email appeal and Facebook post and people stepped up to volunteer and by Friday lunchtime it was full 😁

Hope everyone has a great parkrun, the weather looks better here in the UK 🌞

My first time as photographer today. I’ve no experience of doing this sort of photography, so I volunteered as neither of the two regulars were available.

It turned out that one of them is available now (she was my tutor at a photography for beginners course last year) so she will be THE photographer and I shall have my camera with me for some shots from my marshalling point.

It will be good practice for me.

Hope it's all gone well Benny - I've only been RD 3 times but it does get easier after the first one.

Thanks everyone, it went really well 😁
The core team are wonderfully supportive, and we had good timekeepers and number checker so the results processing went smoothly.
Nailed the RD speech, had them doing a bit of panto-style audience participation which was fun.
Quite a few parkruns here in the northwest have been cancelled due to fallen trees and flooding so we had a lot of people coming from those parkruns so we had a good turnout, nearly 400.
It's one of the most rewarding things I've ever done ☺️
