Oh what a lot for you both going on and poor Mrs NZD feeling ill with covid and to look after mum.
Fingers crossed you do not catch Covid!

I ran six miles yesterday and a shorter 4.5 today all going okay and this week will be a big week compared to what i have run the past three months.Achilles is still taped and getting a little better.
Two weeks Sunday for Cardiff.......
PT session Tuesday and a new deadlifting PB with trap bar 62.5k.

@NZD It has been tough for MrsNZD and MiL. I hope you remain covid-free and that your shoulder is better.
@Welshpoppy It sounds like you are enjoying some good running. IT is good that the Achilles is settling, albeit gradually.

I have been enjoying my jog/walk sessions (on alternate days) in glorious sunshine in recent days. I think I have at least arrested the rate of decline of fitness. If all continues well, I will increase the duration of jog segments to 5 mins next week.

@NZD This is turning out to be a difficult time for you and your family, and I hope that things start to pick up.

@Welshpoppy Glad to read that your running is getting better after the last few months.

@Canute I continue to be impressed by your tenacity to keep doing as much as you can.

I'm back after the three best days of summer this year.
Lovely break but not quite so good on the waistline....

@NZD

what a disaster all at once - hard to know what to commiserate on first but Covid, and its impact on all your family is of prime importance and I hope it gets resolved as quickly as possible with good outcomes for everyone.
I am afraid your tree stump exertion injuries will have to take a back seat in the handing out of sympathy stakes just now

@OO61 - impressive swim session, was that in the North Sea :-)? - I suspect I know the answer...

@Solo - well I do like talking about myself so prepare yourself for a potted history shortly, but I would stress that I may not be the best training model to follow.

@alehouse that's great news on your progress. thanks for the update on your PRP. I think your progress following the gloomy prognosis may be some indication of its efficacy

@Canute ditto and you also made the best of the recent good weather to boot. The body does strange things to compensate for weakness or pain doesn't it?
Hope next week's longer sessions go well

good news on achilles progress and your increased mileage- nearly time for a taper!

Out of sight of the eagle eye of Mrs TS I indulged in some light walk/jogging around the very level golf course attached to the hotel - no golfers out at 0700!
Unfortunately when inspecting the ancient castle at Helmsley (one old ruin meets another) I twisted my bad knee on a rather nasty stone stair - as a consequence I ended up walking rather worse than my wife :-(

@Welshpoppy is that a hint you might be going to the HM ? Great stuff with your PT !

@Canute I can imagine how pleased you are to have reached the point of stopping the decline.

@NZD hope everyone is improving and you have managed to avoid catching Covid.

Been a funny week with a death in the family. Always sobering whatever the age. Very humid on my easy run this morning. Feels like germ breeding weather!

just slow loading so now two of it. The sky was that colour all the time we were away.

@Solo - sorry to hear that - it always serves as an unwelcome reminder of mortality and the things one needs to do...

Knee settled down a bit thanks but still wants to lock up when I sit down so obviously I will need to move more!
Unfortunately I have come back to a mass of emails/stuff requiring attention ...
