Had a discussion on the picket line this week about varifocals. Think we need more young union members

I have had mine for a long time. I am sure I needed reading glasses well before I turned 50!

I wasn't very keen when someone I know asked if I was still working, or now retired I am often asked by people what I work as [i.e. they don't even consider that I am old enough to be retired ]. Plus, I visited a village society exhibition on Friday and one of the society members was encouraging me to join because "they need young people"! There are some benefits to not looking as old as I really am.

I’m now looking at booking another couple of days off as I will be in Manchester for my birthday so will need the Frid and Mon. Getting less and less days to work at this rate.

My poo sticks should be arriving this week. I think this is my 3rd time of testing.
I still don’t need reading glasses but wear glasses for distance mainly when I’m driving or watching television.
