I’m going to have to nip back in and get this new ones tweaked. Having to slightly lift them when reading as not quite in focus.

I don’t need varifocals because I can’t read, I’m nearsighted but I still need to be able to look at something close and then something far away.
Still if anything happens to my one good eye I’m going to need a white stick!

Had my colonoscopy pre-assessment appointment and am going ahead with it as found out it was requested by doctor that did my endoscopy. The biopsies she took were all normal so looking for cause of my anaemia further down now! 😳

How is your stomach acid DQ? Drs often overlook the fact that we need intrinsic factor to produce haemoglobin... And low stomach acid causes lack of intrinsic factor... So many people are on PPIs these days, overlooked as the cause of anaemia.

Hmmm... Sounds like a catch 22 situation
Let's hope something useful comes out of the colonoscopy 🤞

I'm fully expecting everything to be normal like all the other tests I've had. The PPIs have definitely settled the gastric pain and I have certainly much more energy since taking the iron tablets, even started jeffing again so if that is what it takes to feel relatively normal then so be it. 😊

DQ, if you are not already taking it, I recommend Floradix iron. It is like a tonic. It is liquid. It is natural, highly bio-available and contains B12 as well as other vitamins etc, something essential for the production of haemoglobin and, dare I say it, women of a certain age tend to be too low on, including myself.

It really perks me up. I am always borderline anaemic and now with cancer treatment it keeps severe anaemia at bay. Rate it highly!

I'm taking liquid Cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12) as well as the ferrous fumarate prescribed by gp. Another month and I get bloods taken to see if levels are back to normal. Just need to chase prescription but that's for a different thread! 🙄
