20% of children have signs of tooth decay by age 6, thats truly shocking (to me)

Thankful I still have my own teeth at 64! The only ones I had extracted were to prevent overcrowding

I’m totally with not fat shaming people but I do think some people (myself included way back when) do sometimes need a blunt conversation to bring tram to realise how unhealthy they are. It was my grandmother who rather bluntly said ‘you’re getting a bit porky aren’t you’ which finally got me to admit yes, I was overweight & eating unhealthily. I sort of already knew it but it wasn’t until she said something that I took responsibility for sorting it.
Since losing the excess weight (I was never really obese but was definitely overweight for my small frame) I’ve now been about the same weight for about 15 years although body shape has changed a lot - I’m much leaner than I was, say 10 years ago. It does seem to be a lot harder to maintain though as I get older & more menopausal!

I have somehow lost over half a stone since lockdown. This is entirely due to poor eating habits, I'm afraid. I'm used to a workplace with a café where they bring food to your desk. I'm not so good at feeding myself. (The OH is feeding me, but he has to work too.) Admittedly, I did have at least half a stone spare to lose, but it's not an ideal way of doing it.

I don’t even have HRT as an excuse as can’t take it due to family medical history! Biscuits & alcohol are my weakness!

I’ve lost just over half a stone since lockdown started - healthier eating and more exercise has done it.

I wobble between a couple of weights, depending on what I eat...if I eat crap, I'm slightly plumper than if I eat properly. (go figure!). @Nellers - fortunately there's only two of us here and we try to eat as healthily as possible, though occasionally there might be biscuits here but not on a regular basis. We must remember to eat the banana cake in the fridge...(it's actually healthy!...and we keep forgetting about it!)

Mrs Nellers is quite a baker too Garfield. We've had banana walnut loaf last week, then brownies, choux buns and I've just finished off the Victoria Sponge. You see the problem?
Although it is a nice problem to have.

I'm with JR with the HRT and it's anything with butter on and red wine which are my weaknesses.
I've put on a stone since Christmas, I'm not eating any more or differently but I'm probably walking 5 miles a day less than I was before the dog hurt his knee and lockdown happened. if you believe the 100 calories a mile (it's probably not far of for me) that's easily enough to put on 1lb a week.
