Mr HB's birthday today too - he's a lot older than 50 though. We've just spent rather a long time in car showrooms

Greppers, I first felt it when carrying skis back in March. I had one a few years ago and it was months before I realised it didn't hurt any more. I'm reckoning about 6 months. It got worse last week when my PT tried to get me to do tricep pulls using a bar and the weight was a bit too heavy.

I had tennis elbow many years ago. The treatment then was to give a steroid injection straight into the bone. My GP couldn’t do it as she had a phobia about doing that type of injection! I had to be treated by one of her colleagues.

When the problem recurred some time later and I asked for another shot, they had changed the treatment to an exercise base regime.

ER - I assume you've tried everything ... I found an elbow strap helped a lot (Actimove Epi Sport).
And although 'cured' I still tend to use it when I know I'm going to be doing a lot of lifting/moving things.

Thanks um, I might look into that. Generally I no longer have a problem, just a bit of a niggle now and again for some reason. It maybe that that sort of exercise is the trigger. I must be more aware.

Thanks for the recommendation Um.

Just back from nearly two hours of mixed doubles. Just a club social but it was a fairly vigorous reintroduction to using it. It held up okay, the Lord be praised.

Sore now but happy. Onwards.

Preliminary rounds of the men’s doubles on a Sunday. Quarter finals of the vets’ singles on Monday. Club night on Tuesday. Kill or cure.
