I like being able to say 'I'm a grown-up, I can do whatever I like.' Especially to my children who may make comments about stuff I do.

I'm of the thinking I don't like avocado but never tasted one. I do put guacamole dip on the wrap when having fajitas but then the tast is disguised in amongst everything else.

I like avocados very much but I understand they make extremely heavy demands on the environment (water use, I think) so I don't often buy them.

I love avocados, difficult to buy them at the right amount of ripeness and expensive nowadays, I like them just as they are.

I've never tried an avocado. I can't bear overripe bananas. I like mine with a tinge of green on the peel. It's as much a texture thing as taste - I have a strong gag reflex with mushy stuff.

I don’t *really* dislike bananas, but banana-flavoured anything is horrid. I tolerate bananas as a necessary evil. I’m also largely indifferent to avocados. Eggs alas trigger all sorts of gag reflexes. I’m sure they are good for me but I can’t eat them unless they are so adulterated as to remove all egginess. Quiche is as slide as I’ll get. |

In other news, tennis elbow might be a cliche but it’s also a real nuisance. I’m usually okay while playing but the following day (and I play 2-4 times a week), heavy lifty-twisty actions - like pouring from a full kettle for example, hurt like stink. I suspect this is less due to tennis and more due to being 55. |

Avocados can be made into sweet things as well...avocado milkshake anyone? travelerslunchbox.com and somewhere I've got a recipe for chocolate mousse made with avocado. Greppers, I 'got' tennis elbow from someone colliding with my elbow during rush hour in London...it took nearly a year to recover from it. |

Avocado chocolate mousse strikes me as an example of "just because it can be done doesn't mean it should be done", like putting beetroot in a cake or grating cauliflower and pretending it's a pizza base. But I wouldn't turn my nose up at it.

I agree with V'rap, until she gets to the not turning up her nose at them. I would.
