Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Stef had a short dip in a lochan a thousand feet above sea level on Arran. I didn’t go in but was about as wet by the time we got back to the car

That looks wonderful .

I bunked of work for a 35 minute dip in the sea this afternoon. Sea swimming hasn't been as prolific of late due to conditions (heavy rain and for the last twice ) but i've dipped quite alot.

It occured to me today that my frozen shoulder issue has resolved itself . I don't know if its the power of the cold north sea thats helped or just time itself but i'll take it.

I also found that ow swimming helped my frozen shoulder/s but the main thing was cutting down stress so double bubble for the swimming really

I’m waiting to test drive a couple of cars, so I can get to the coast easily. Haven’t been swimming for a week as a bit too cold for me to go from sea to bike to 40-min cycle home.

I don't think i'd fancy a 40 mile bike ride after a spel in the cold north sea. I'm usually in the queue for Bovril or coffee pretty sharp !

There didn't seem to be a thread devoted to open water swimming, so I thought I'd start one.
