Underpants. They are the most critical piece of kit for everyday life.

Little Nemo
I had something similar to rf_fozzy's first link for when I was swimming on my own on holiday. I could fit my hotel card in it so I could go for a very early swim without bothering others. It was OK but I think it might have bothered me on a long swim.
Currently I just leave my stuff on the bank. There are only other swimmers there and I just assume no one's going to bother pretending to be a swimmer just to nick stuff.

Box End was absolutely gorgeous again today
I can't find the little beach/swim shoes I used to wear in the sea. Anyone got any recomendations for something just to protect feet a little bit? I find the walk in and out over the rough bits really quite uncomfortable

Another cheeky river swim for me this lunchtime. Nearly swimming pool temperature (apart from a strange cold pool where a second stream joins). Don't get many geese in my local pool though.
I have a tow float but this stream is very quiet (almost no 'riverbank' so there are no fishermen and only two boats tied up); I don't like to attract attention with it and just stuff my shoes in a bin bag under some bushes.

I have neoprene booties from two left feet. I wear them in the river mainly and sometimes at Box End.
